If it's okay, I thought I'd add one detail for the benefit of readers not fully familiar with SIL. The 12 kina charge you mentioned for the New Testaments would be about $4 US. Obviously far short of covering the printing or shipping charges for the books! The purpose of the payment is to reinforce what the men were saying in their dedication speeches--that's God's Word is precious and should be valued highly in our daily lives. SIL has found that even a small "copay" instills a sense of value and responsibility for God's Word.
